Sir, I have a doubt regarding PSIR short notes that you recommended. At what stage of the preparation did you make short notes? I mean like I am studying majorly from SR Notes and I also attended her crash course this year. So should I make short notes right after my first reading of the SR notes or do I revise multiple times first from the same notes and then I make short notes focusing specifically on the things or topic I tend to forget? And is it the right approach to make these notes after prelims, while I do revisions from ma'am's notes before prelims?
Sir please suggest a mentorship programme, I have taken Raus foundation coaching but no mentorship is provided. Since I am preparing alone from home it becomes difficult at times to maintain consistency and direction. I was thinking of ed saarthi or forum mgp .Could you please suggest? Also I am reluctant to shell more money. As my foundation course costed hefty without any relevant outcome. Kindly suggest a viable mentorship programme.
Can you give a rough TIMELINE of your preparation which might include things like when did u start making these short notes, how long did u read the content before you started writing PYQ, what you focused primarily on after prelims?
I went through many of your YouTube videos but was surprised to not get an answer on your timeline of preparation.
Ps: asking for timeline so as to see what was done during different phases and tweak it for my own preparation accordingly
"Laxmikant is of declining use for Polity as real-exam questions are more conceptual so don’t stress about spurious details;" , how should then one read / research about topics in a holistic manner sprinkled with examples , eg your notes on CVC includes point of govt dept not accepting CVC advice ( eg train 18 corruption case ) , how does one get points like these
Currently facing issues with Polity and Governance , even mains365s now seem superficial.
Hi Bhavishya, I am also from Y16 batch from IIT Kanpur. I am writing my first mains this year. I am facing difficulty in completing some parts of syllabus like Art&Culutre and Geography. What strategy would you suggest at this time. Also can you share what difficulties you faced in your first mains?
So sir is it advisable to do so as I am also in same situation and desperately wants to join civil services and already done with my maths optional but I have some kind of fear of failure?
if you really want to then yes; imho best is to give 1-2 fully dedicated attempts & then decide further... and for "fear of failure" just remember DUNE :)
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Sir, can you write a similar detailed blog for students of PSIR Optional who are doing it through self-study. It will be very beneficial for us.

Hi Prateek,
1) just focus on doing list of important topics based on PYQs + see my uploads in Resources section & search for A&C+Geo
2) insufficient prep; just graduated in october
Hi Bhavishya, what timeline did you follow post your first mains?
1) Did you join edsarrthi laws post mains?
2) which test series did you join for mains?
3) how did you go about optional?
Sir how you have handled the pressure of relatives and neighbours as you have rejected such a good offer for your full time CSE preparation?
In my personal case, never felt any such pressure from my relatives/neighbors.
So sir is it advisable to do so as I am also in same situation and desperately wants to join civil services and already done with my maths optional but I have some kind of fear of failure?

Thank you sir for your motivational response......I really admire your strategy for this exam.
